Psalms Chapter 12

"HELP LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men."

"They speak vanity every one with his neighbor: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak."

"The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips and the tongue that speaketh proud things."

"Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail: our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

"For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him."

"The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times."

"Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

"The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted."

David craved HELP from God. This chapter starts out with, "HELP LORD".  We know that HELP from God is just a prayer away. Many times we also cry out, "HELP LORD", I NEED YOU! If we had our own panic button, we sure would push it! But then we remember God is still in control, so we rest in His peace and let faith overcome the fear. Just one prayer can make such a difference. David hungered for God's spirit. When was the last time we hungered to feel the present of God? The word "Crave", means to want greatly, require, to desire, to ask earnestly. This reminds me of the scripture in James 5:16, "Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervant prayer of a righteous man availeth much." This type of prayer is an earnest prayer from the heart. We desire HELP from God. I could not make it without His help. God was right on time for David and God will be right on time for us also. Always remember, "HELP" is only a prayer away!
