The Promise To Calm The Storm

{Psalms 107:28-30}

"Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble and he brings them out of their distresses"

"He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still"

"Then are they glad because they be quiet; so that he brings them unto their desired haven"

God has given us untold promises and each is a promise he has promised to keep. How clearly and wonderfully he assures us, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness" {Jeremiah 31:3}. He has given us promises for guidance and instruction. He has given rest for the weary, compassion, tenderness and above all, the blessing of communion with him. Each is wrapped up in the bible and may be found through simply opening and reading the Book. God has always done what he said he would do. His promises are never broken. This is one of life's certainties. God has made a promise to calm the storms in our life. When the time is right, He will speak "PEACE BE STILL". Most of the time the storm rages within us, a troubled heart and or a troubled mind. But when we call on Jesus, he comes to our rescue. Then we find rest for our soul. Life is filled with storms, wind and rain, but always remember Jesus is on your side and he will make something beautiful out of the storm.
