Love Laid Down

{John 15:13}

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends"

Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. He was nailed to a cross, bruised, beaten, mocked and rejected, but He gave His life so we could have life eternal. Jesus willingly surrendered His life to those who crucified Him. He could have called a host of angels to come and set Him free, but he didn't. He could have said, "Father, I can't do this", but He wanted the will of the Father to be done instead of His own, this my friend is "LOVE". There is a song on my heart this morning I would like to share with you, it is called "I WILL GO". 

As God looked down through time

It grieved His heart so

He saw the world he made so perfect

But now sin had a hold

He knew there had to be

A living sacrifice

His only Son turned and said

With love in His eyes

Father, I'll Go

I'll be the sacrifice

I'm willing to die for all

I'm willing to give my life

For the weary and the broken

For every lost soul

Father, for all of the world

I will go

I will go for the beggar

Who has no riches to call his own

I will go for the rich man

Who need me more than gold

I will go for the young

I will go for the old

For every one who needs life

Father I'll go

I'll be the sacrifice

I'm willing to die for all

I'm willing to give my life

For the weary and the broken

For every lost soul

Father for all of the world

I will go

Dear heavenly Father, we thank you for sending your precious Son Jesus. We thank you Jesus that you came and laid down your life for us. Through you dear Lord, we have hope, peace and joy but most of all, we have life eternal waiting for us one day. The place called heaven, where no sin will enter, no tears or pain, no sickness or suffering of any kind is welcome there. Because you laid down your life for us, we have this promise and our hearts are for ever thankful and humbled. We praise you today and give you glory and honor, In Jesus Name, amen and amen.
